Create Knowledge
Kai (she/they) is a learning and change strategist, facilitator, and coach who supports leaders, teams, and organizations striving to work in more equitable, just, and generative ways.
Grounded by their training in Emergent Learning, the Co-Active Training Institute’s coaching model, transformative mediation, and 20+ years of experience co-leading participatory, community-centered work, they help nonprofits, community organizers, and foundations learn together and co-create and operationalize strategies to advance social change.
Kai holds a Masters of Philosophy in Architecture and the Moving Image, and graduate certificates in Teaching to Inspire Learning, and Leading Equity and Inclusion in Organizations. She credits much of her facilitation skillset to the six years she spent early in her career co-creating with learners of all ages as a teaching artist in the UK and US. Her work is fueled by her long-term special interests in people, power sharing, and sci fi/fantasy (aka imagining new worlds!) — which she’s happy to nerd out about at any time.
