The EL Community Project

Launched in 2021, the Emergent Learning Community Project is a grant funded project of Global Philanthropy Partnership. Its purpose is to support a vital, diverse and growing community of practitioners who, together and individually, are deepening their practice and creating the conditions for stronger thinking, action and results in the organizations and the larger systems in which they work. Through a variety of activities, the EL Community Project helps practitioners both expand their vision for what’s possible and apply EL to specific and concrete goals.

The EL Community Project is led by a core team, advised by an Advisory Panel of community members who serve rotating terms of two-to-three years. A number of Project Fellows are involved in supporting specific projects or serve as coaches in EL training programs.

Individuals who complete an ELCP-led program become EL Community members, gaining access to programming, resources, and peer support. Community members play a variety of roles in supporting each other in deepening their EL practice.

Support the EL Community Project

Project funding is essential to the infrastructure that supports Emergent Learning and the EL community. Core funding helps support and diversify the EL Community through new and targeted program and advanced practice offerings, connecting and supporting EL practitioners through community calls and gatherings, including an annual EL Learning Summit, regular communications and network weaving, stewarding the philosophy and practice of Emergent Learning through learning and research within the EL Community, content development, and field outreach.

The EL Community Project welcomes grants to provide core support or to sponsor specific ELCP projects. Contributions can be made online here, or to discuss grant options, please contact Marilyn Darling marilyn@emergentlearning.org.
